What is Love?

When we talk about the french new wave , we're referring to a group of brave filmmakers passionate about expression, mainly the one that is free, and the composition of images and dialogues as a way to elaborate aesthetic products.

Once Chuang Tzu dreamt he was a butterfly, a butterfly flitting and fluttering around, happy with himself and doing as he pleased. He didn't know he was Chuang Tzu. Suddenly he woke up and there he was - Chuang Tzu, solid and unmistakable. But upon reflection, he didn't know if he was Chuang Tzu who had dreamt he was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming he was Chuang Tzu.

Most of the recent products from visual media are trying to evoke a notion about life as part of a narrative argument , It's by this reason that all those stories we see in films are such an essential part for the interpretation of our existence.

L'Arroseur arrosé (by the Lumière´s brothers company) is one of the very first cinematographic examples in the incorporation of narrative elements into this art form, and even though this is just a 44 seconds shot , it has all the basic elements that contemporary storytelling has.
